If you have been on Facebook for any period of time, you already know that the platform is golden for lead generation. If you have been working, trying to generate leads at all using social media, you also know that doing so can be a challenge if you have no step-by-step plan.
This article is going to be short, sweet, and to-the-point, and it’s going to share all the things that you need to do in order to be able to generate leads using social media. Buckle up, get a pen…and get ready to get to work the right way. Social media is among one of the best ways to generate leads, and it’s about time that everyone knew exactly how to get that done. To Generate Leads On Facebook, Up Your Facebook Friends!
The first thing you have to do is increase your friend’s list. You need to do that aggressively. Between people sending you requests and you occasionally sending some out, you need to add at least two people per day…or it should average out to 2+ per day in a month’s time. I am currently adding, on average, 3 people a day.
The more people I am connected to, the more people who can see my activity in the stream. As long as you are putting out high-quality content, you are going to attract attention. For clarity, lots and lots of ads are not high quality content.
Sincere encouragement attracts attention. Well-written articles attract attention. People don’t want to be sold-to, but they DO want to be entertained. People DO have problems in their lives that they want to gain solutions to…and if you are the problem solver, you can generate leads! Do these things, and your status updates are going to work well for you!
You’ve got to be willing to say howdy to people!
To Generate Leads On Facebook, Interact With People…A Lot!
The second thing that you are going to need to do is learn how to interact with others on Facebook the right way. When you encourage, compliment from the heart and from a place that is HONEST.
You will need at least a little bit of a sense of humor on occasion, and you need to be the person who makes everyone feel good about themselves or about what they are doing.
Light attracts. Be the light in the lives of others.
To Generate Leads On Facebook, Give, Give, Give!!
The third thing you are going to need to do is to search for groups on Facebook where you can participate with others and grow. You also need to belong to groups where you can help others and show that you are a giver. This type of activity should be fairly consistent each week.
Don’t have a lot of activity one week and absolutely none the next. People gravitate towards those with whom they can relate, and few people relate to inconsistency.
When you operate in groups well and consistently, you will stand out because of the fact that NO ONE really does this. No one operates consistently as a giver.
And that is the truth! If you give and participate well, people will take notice of you.

Generate Leads On Facebook By Providing Value To Others!
The fourth and last thing that you need to do is to post regular information that offers real value in the lives of other people. My company provides a solid team infrastructure, the tools and information needed to grow a business from the ground floor, and actionable tip to get even new people up and earning within one week. That’s value!
The trainings are INCREDIBLE…so I post them between the valuable updates I make on my wall. I may post a general, good morning message, and then I go interact with others. I come back to my wall after interacting, and I post a training call.
So…interspersed between the encouragement and interaction is valuable help. I pray people want to come into business with me, but if they do not, that is fine. My work is to offer value each time I post. The results will come in time.
I know I am giving information that helps, not spamming my own wall all the time with stuff that will only line my own pocket. Eventually, people will see the consistency, and those who are meant to be in business with you will fall right in.
So…make sure that you have your profile set up correctly so that people who need to get in contact can do so easily!
Generating Leads On Facebook is Not For The Faint Of Heart!
It takes time, and it takes a certain heart generate leads on Facebook. You cannot be selfish. You cannot be lazy. You have to give ALL the time, and you have to treat others with the same consideration that you want to be treated.
In short, who you are in private is who you need to be on Facebook. If you are mean and rude, keep yourself to yourself. 😉 When you are ready to be kind, get to work.
I look at Facebook as a school of sorts, and each, individual profile is a classroom. If you take the time to get an education on people, you will always do well in business, and your personality will shine in the halls of Facebook.
